This duplex penthouse with it’s stunning views across the white cliffs of East Kent was very much in need of an upgrade when Gabriel was asked by the clients to redesign the interiors to create a relaxed holiday home.

Working with Del Renzio & Del Renzio Architects the property went through a total refurbishment with new windows, a new bespoke oak staircase, a handmade kitchen & bathrooms updated with white marble tiles & modern fittings.

On the first floor Gabriel used white oiled oak flooring & a palette of pebbly grays as a backdrop to the clients’ collection of antique & vintage pieces. The main open plan living room has new bespoke alcove joinery built in around the existing fireplace with foxed mercury mirror back panels to reflect the amazing natural light.

Punchy teal velvet sofas complement the faded rug & brass light fittings & sunburst mirror add a little glamour. The new kitchen has a beautiful off white marble stone top & a new island complete with breakfast bar.

Through the crittall doors you enter the back of the apartment where the two bedrooms have stunning views across the local brassica fields. Again Gabriel kept the feel restful with light gray walls & soft linen curtains but added a mossy green accent colour on some of the furniture & soft furnishings to echo the trees outside.

On the upper floor - the ‘reading room’ has built in bookcases & two oversized comfy armchairs in a zesty tangarine velvet provide the perfect place to sit, read & relax & take in the gorgeous views across the deck to the sea beyond.
